What does not work currently:

# forcibly clear the header in the response
add_header Server """";

# forcibly set a fixed value
add_header Server ""FooServer/0.8.15"";

Using the always parameter will duplicate the Server header returning both the auto-generated AND the explicit one.

Working around this in a reverse-proxy setup by using some backend server that allows to influence the Server header can't be the solution; especially as error pages still return the incorrect header value.

While this is possible through patching nginx it shouldn't be the solution.

Alternate solutions:
1. Make the forked headers-more module available by default.
