Description
Old (<2006) versions of Microsoft Office files are served with the correct mime type.
New (>2006) versions of these files are not.
The file /etc/nginx/mime-types contains the following lines:
application/vnd.ms-excel xls;
application/vnd.ms-powerpoint ppt;
application/msword doc;
These should be changed to:
application/vnd.ms-excel xls xlsx;
application/vnd.ms-powerpoint ppt pptx;
application/msword doc docx;
I'm using 1.1.19 (as packaged with ubuntu 12.10), but the same problem appears also in SVN trunk:

There appear to be additional mime-types for Microsoft Office documents. I've opened a Pull Request on HTML5 Boilerplates version of "mime.types" where all those should be handled.

I've updated that file again after Valentins comment on GitHub (thanks for the hint).
