    8803.png - opening the URL in Chrome second time. The behavior is the same, 1st request takes 4 seconds (red, Chrome doesn't play anything), 2nd request (green) - audio starts playing.

    10 You can easily test it from mobile devices (e.g. using MediaPlayer API on Android), you will get the same, but in that case you will not even need to clear any caches for the following requests for the same file. It always will get you that 4-5 seconds delay.
