rewrite /nuxeo/ui/?state=(.*) /nuxeo/ui/;
should match:
But in our case this does not work, only if the get parameter "&code=" is changed to ANYTHING else it works asap. This behaviour is kinda wierd.

The rewrite directive does not do any matching of request arguments. Matching is performed on normalized URI without any arguments ($uri), similarly to location. If you need to do matching based on request arguments, consider using if.
