Description
Hi, first sorry for my elementary english.
I'd like to report a strange behavior that occour in my nginx.conf.
If I wrote the word "pid" alone or in another word like 'spider' (also in remarked line) ngnix -t works properly and confirm that syntax is ok, but nginx is unable to restart.
EXAMPLE, this does NOT works:
map $http_user_agent $is_bot {
default 0;
~*(crawl|spider|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
}
EXAMPLE, this does works:
map $http_user_agent $is_bot {
default 0;
~*(crawl|SPIDER|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
}
EXAMPLE, this does NOT works:
map $http_user_agent $is_bot {
default 0;
# ~*(crawl|spider|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
~*(crawl|SPIDER|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
}
EXAMPLE, this does works:
map $http_user_agent $is_bot {
default 0;
# ~*(crawl|sp_ider|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
~*(crawl|SPIDER|bot|tracker|click|parser|google|yahoo|yandex|baidu|bing) 1;
}
Thanks,
best regards
Franco
I suppose your problem is described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1314740 and isn't related to nginx itself. You should fix your init scripts.
