gzip_static always does not work with try_files when no uncompressed file

Description
gzip_static always works as expected until you add "try_files @uri =404;" to the location.
It seems that try_files requires the original file to work there and is not affected by gzip_static always.
##WORKS FINE

That's because
try_files $uri =404requires the<root>$urifile to exist, see the try_files directive documentation. While withgzip_static alwaysthis file isn't needed to serve the request, and the<root>$uri.gzfile is used instead. Similarly, theindexdirective won't work withtry_files $uri =404as well.Depending on what you are trying to do, possible solutions might be to either not use
try_filesat all, or to create corresponding empty files to satisfy thetry_files $uri =404test.
