Description
My nginx is working as "Reverse Proxy" in our company intranet. It does bypass the request from a client to an external server(internet/ssl).
I would like to make it uses our company proxy when it access to an external server. Is it possible?
I have tried to set "http_proxy" and "https_proxy" as environment value and tried CURL and WGET, they works fine.
But nginx seems not to use it(https_proxy value), it has access the ext server without the proxy.
Is there any configuration what I have to do?
my environment is below:
$ cat /etc/environment
export http_proxy=http://163.44.206.148:8888/
export ftp_proxy=http://163.44.206.148:8888/
export https_proxy=http://163.44.206.148:8888/
export no_proxy=localhost
$ cat /etc/nginx/conf.d/site.conf
:
location /test/api/{
proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header Host-Real-IP $http_host;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
proxy_set_header X-Real-Pcol http;
proxy_ssl_verify off;
proxy_pass https://<external server>:443/test/api/;
proxy_redirect default;
}

No, nginx does not use forward proxies to connect to external resources. If you need nginx to connect to a server which is only available through a forward proxy, consider configuring a tunnel. Duplicate of #1399.
