Description
This does not work:
location / {
limit_except OPTIONS {
auth_basic "Access is restricted.";
auth_basic_user_file /srv/app/www/htpasswd;
}
try_files $uri $uri/ @app;
}
location @app {
include uwsgi_params;
uwsgi_pass unix:///run/uwsgi/app/app/socket;
}
$ curl -ski https://localhost -X OPTIONS
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
$ curl -ski -u username:password https://localhost -X GET
HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
error.log:
[error] 23859#0: *25 "/var/www/site/index.html" is not found (2: No such file or directory), client: 127.0.0.1, server: localhost, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", host: "localhost"
But this does work:
location / {
try_files $uri $uri/ @app;
}
location @app {
limit_except OPTIONS {
auth_basic "Access is restricted.";
auth_basic_user_file /srv/app/www/htpasswd;
}
include uwsgi_params;
uwsgi_pass unix:///run/uwsgi/app/app/socket;
}
Previously I had:
auth_basic "Access is restricted.";
auth_basic_user_file /srv/app/www/htpasswd;
location / {
try_files $uri $uri/ @app;
}
location @app {
include uwsgi_params;
uwsgi_pass unix:///run/uwsgi/app/app/socket;
}
This works too with the exception that OPTIONS requires a username and password.
